Originally published in 1885, this is a facsimile of the original book. It is not a photocopy of the 1973 index other publisher's are selling and describing as the original book. Ber certain to check the page count and the page size of the offer for sale before selecting a less expensive version. This book contains 1010 total pages over two volumes and is printed in a larger page size, in keeping with the original, due to the small font used which would make reading in a 6x9 size factor difficult. The seperate comprehensive index contains 262 pages however it is under copyright protection and can't be legally reprinted without permission from the Jerseyana Club of Shrewsbury Boro School and the Shrewsbury Historical Society. If they grant me permission in writing I will reprint it at no cost to them but unlike other publishers I will not knowingly reprint copyrighted works without written permission even though the ditized images have been miscategorized and thus mistakenly made freely available by the Library of Congress. All pages of the original book have been carefully processed by trained artisans to ensure quality reproduction and no missing, crooked, blurred or doubled images.
